I have found a great resource for anyone interested. The best thing: IT IS FREE! I found it at a new site called OMFSource.com
It is important as dentists, oral surgeons, or endodontists to know how to suture. To do so proficiently is an even better trait. Doing something quickly and with great skill and quality will allow you to see more patients which in the end leas to greater profits.
Money isn't #1 though and that is why I mentioned the quality aspect. Knowing how to do a proper suture job will also help a patient in recovery. Gum tissue is pretty resilient and I am starting to ramble...so here is the free - FREE - kit from Ethicon, a division of Johnson & Johnson.
The product is a suture board, a knot tying kit, and a rope to practice tying. You can call a local hospital to see if they have any old needle pusher or holders that they could donate to you or you can learn to hand tie.
